Applications being accepting for Huber Scholarships
The Henry P. Huber Scholarship committee is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton school superintendent. Applications may be acquired from the Guidance Counselor at Bluffton High School, the Superintendent's office in the Bluffton Elementary School and from the Citizens National Bank in Bluffton.
Applicants are required to submit with their application, whether a high school senior or currently enrolled in college, the most recent transcript of their academic program. Applications must be filed with the committee by May 25, 2010.
Grants are limited to students planning to major in vocational agriculture, or closely related fields of study.
Mr. Huber was a life-long Bluffton resident. He was a farmer in Richland Township and was also a member of the Citizens National Bank board of directors. He died in the 1970s.
