Third reading of income tax legislation scheduled for June 24

At the Monday, June 24 regular meeting of the Village of Bluffton council, there will be four items of legislation including a Resolution and Ordinance that will allow the Village to put a 0.4% increase in income tax for the purpose of Safety Services funding on the November 5 ballot.

Weekend Doctor: Facet joint pain

Back pain is one of the most common medical complaints, affecting millions of Americans every year. While conditions like herniated discs, stenosis, and pinched nerves are often the suspected culprits, in many cases, the true source is facet joint pain.

What Are Facet Joints?
The facet joints are small stabilizing joints between each vertebra that allow flexibility and movement in the spine. Like other joints in the body, the facet joints can become inflamed or arthritic, or sustain injury over time from repetitive stress, trauma, or degenerative changes.

Facet joints are well-supplied by medial nerves from the spinal cord. When these joints malfunction and become painful, they can produce significant back and neck pain that radiates into the shoulders, hips, buttocks, or legs.

Karen Ann Hilty worked at Hilty Memorial Home

Karen Ann Hilty, 63, passed away June 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer and is now free of pain and is now in the arms of Jesus.

Twila L. Wagner was a housewife and farmer

Twila L. Wagner, age 93, of Ada, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 4:25 p.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, surrounded by her loving family.
