GROB to the library rescue

Donates plexiglass and aluminum unit providing protection around the main floor front desk

GROB Systems to the rescue.

Thanks for volunteer efforts of the local manufacturer, Bluffton Public Library will have a customized plexiglass and aluminum unit providing over 20 feet of protection around the library’s main floor front desk area when it eventually reopens to the public.

Here’s how it all came together:

The library contacted ​Brian Schroeder of ​GROB when it was determined that the structure of the front desk would require a frame to anchor plexiglass partitions. 

Camping at BFR

Brantley Allgire first created this healthy snack -he called it Earth, or something to that effect - and then ate it. He's one of the campers this summer at Bluffton Family Recreation. Each week campers are involved in different projects. This one involved the world of science. Click here for the camp schedule.

15 Minutes with Entrepreneur Derek Dukes

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs staffer Nicole McConnahea visited with Derek Dukes of Southgate Lanes, 9700 N. Dixie Highway, Bluffton. Derek has worked at the bowling alley for almost 20 years and has spearheaded marketing for the business including dynamic videos on social media, which had the BCE eager to learn more.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today provided the following updates on Ohio's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HOSPITALIZATIONS:
Last week was the first week of increasing COVID-19 hospital utilization in Ohio after over two months of decreasing utilization since late April. From June 21, 2020, to June 27, 2020, Ohio had approximately 500 to 550 total COVID-19 patients in hospitals statewide. This week, there are approximately 650 COVID-19 patients in hospitals statewide.
