Senior art show opens March 29
The Bluffton University Art Department will feature the original artwork of two senior students, Sara Richer and Donelle Parker, in an exhibition opening March 29.
Free and open to the public, the exhibit will be on display until April 11 with the exception of April 2-5, when it will be closed for Easter break. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. weekends in the Sauder Visual Arts Center's Grace Albrecht Gallery.
Richer is from Wauseon, Ohio, where she graduated from Wauseon High School in 2006 as Art Student of the Year. From a young age, she showed a talent for art and graphics, which led to her choice of a college major in art and graphic design. Many opportunities at Bluffton have helped her prepare for the future, and the artwork in her exhibition will reflect her time at Bluffton and those experiences.
Parker is from Painesville. Early in life, she discovered her love for expression through art, leading to her pursuit of an art education major at Bluffton and plans to become a high school art teacher. The art in her exhibition will portray the things she loves and enjoys, including her family, and will span several media.
