Bluffton Public Library offers several programs for National Library Week

Bluffton Public Library is celebrating National Library Week - Monday, April 12, to Saturday, April 17 - by hosting special events all week long.

The Friends of the Library book sale will take place the entire week during regular library hours. All items will be available for a donation and those donations will directly benefit the library and community. A canned food drive will be held Monday, April 12, to Saturday, April 17. Patrons donating canned goods will receive one fine forgiveness coupon per person. The canned goods will benefit local food banks.

On Monday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m., and Tuesday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m., storytime for children ages 3-5 will take place. The theme is "Yoga kids."

A discussion of Jodi Picoult's book Handle with Care is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, at Common Grounds Coffeehouse and Caf'e, 101 S. Main St., Bluffton. Copies of the book are available at the library's circulation desk and registration is required.

On Thursday, April 15, an infant/child CPR class will be held at the library at 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required and the cost is $35 per person for certification and books. In addition, the Teen Advisory Board will host an "Altered Book Program" at 3:30 p.m. at the library.

On Friday, April 16, the Friends of the Library will provide free cookies and punch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A "Book Sale Bonanza" will take place on Saturday, April 17. Patrons may fill a grocery bag with paperback books for a minimum donation of $1. Patrons should bring their own bags.
