Viewer urges voters to support school renewal levy
Icon viewers:
As a member of the Committee for Better Schools, I am urging voters to VOTE "YES" for our schools! It is a renewal of an existing 1/2% Income Tax for Permanent Improvements, it is not a new tax. There are many improvements that have been made to the schools and many more that are needed to be completed.
If you've driven by the schools or may have attended an event in the buildings you can't help but notice where the tax money has gone. Our community streetscape looks great along with our High School and parts of the Elementary with their tuckpoint and mortar repair, various doors and windows replaced, classrooms refurbished and updated, High School restrooms and plumbing repair, a new roof on the Elemetary School, and 2 new school busses. Because of the community support, all of this and more can be done to maintain and improve our Schools.
Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable facility says, "YES" to the kids, "YES" to the faculty, bus drivers, and custodians and "YES" to the community!
Committee member for the Committee for Better Schools,
Margie Woodruff
