Harold Closson 1937-2010
Harold L. Closson, 72, Bluffton, died at 9:30 a.m., July 4, 2010, in Bluffton. He was born July 25, 1937 to George and Mary Catherine Meeks Closson, Sr., in Delphos, Ohio. On June 15, 1957, he married Margie Gerber and she survives.
Mr. Clossen was an electrician. He retired from DTR, Bluffton. He had also worked at Pure Pak and Ex Cell O, Bluffton. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, a volunteer at the Et Cetra Shop, Bluffton and a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School.
He was an electrician, carpenter and woodworker.
Survivors are his wife, Margie Closson, Bluffton, daughter: Kaye (Denny) Phillips, Bluffton, son: Timothy (Julie) Closson, Bluffton,
Grandsons: Adam and Justin Phillips, grandson, Tyler Closson, granddaughters Shellie, Kelsie and Katie Closson, brothers, Roger (Anna Jayne) Closson, Delphos; Michael (Gloria) Closson, Delphos; and a sister, Judy (Michael) Parsons, Delphos.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George (Charlene) Closson Jr., and Dwight James Closson.
A funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., July 7, at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Steven Yoder and Louise Wideman will officiate.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chiles Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
