Cross Country has best-ever finish at HCAC Championsips

HANOVER, Ind. - The Beaver harriers had a memorable day Saturday, Oct. 29, at the HCAC Cross Country Championship. On an unusually hot day for late October, and on a demanding Hanover College course, the runners rose to the occasion with Bluffton's best-ever 2nd place team finish for the women, a quality 4th place team finish for the men and an all-time high eight athletes in the awards.

Rose-Hulman handles Bluffton football 42-19

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University football team took on the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers in a crucial HCAC matchup. After defeating Franklin last week, the Engineers continued their winning ways with a dominating 42-19 victory to improve to 7-2 (6-1 HCAC) on the season. With the loss, the Beavers dropped to 6-2 (4-2 HCAC) on the year.

Volleyball drops HCAC title clash to Hanover

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Saturday’s Heartland Conference tussle brought Hanover College to the Sommer Center for a hard-fought duel between the top two teams in the HCAC. The Beavers came up short, taking their first loss in the conference (21-25, 25-15, 25-23, and 25-22). Bluffton fell to 21-8 overall and 8-1 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover improved to 22-7 and 8-0 in the HCAC.

Pioneers down Men's Soccer on Senior Day

Bluffton, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team capped off its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Oct. 29, with a Senior Day contest against Transylvania University. The weather was comfortable as the Beavers honored their six seniors prior to the match. Transylvania downed Bluffton 6-0, improving to 12-2-3 overall and 7-1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while Bluffton finished the season with a 3-15 mark (0-9 HCAC).

Women's Soccer falls to Transy on Senior Day

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team honored Beth Snyder (Akron, NY) and Abby Karikas (Curtice/Genoa Area) as part of the Senior Day festivities on an unseasonably warm Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. The Beavers finished off the season with an 0-14 mark (0-9 HCAC), while Transylvania improved to 4-11-2 overall and 4-5 in the Heartland Conference).

Boys' soccer: BHS stops Temple 3-1 for district title

Bluffton outside Pioneers 14 to 2

Kalida hosted Bluffton Pirates and Temple Christian Pioneers for the District final on Saturday. Bluffton prevailed 3-1.
 
Scoring got started at 2 minutes when Pirate Luke Young crossed a ball to Eli Bourassa who buried it. The balance of the half saw a number of Bluffton build-ups, with Temple Christian rejections.
 
In the second half at minute 51 Temple Christian scored on a well place kick.
