Linda L. Gossard 1940-2010
Linda L. Gossard, 70 of Bluffton died at 5:50 a.m. Nov. 27, 2010 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born March 6, 1940 in Scott Depot, W.V. to Mervin and Nellie (Bowyer Duncan) Ward. On June 18, 1960 she married Paul Gossard and he survives.
Mrs. Gossard had worked in housekeeping at the Mennonite Memorial Home for 27 years. Surviving are a daughter Teresa (Scott) Calvelage of Bluffton; a son Larry (Stacey) Gossard of Columbus Grove; seven grandchildren Tara and Dylan Pletcher, Shaina, Andrea, Brandan, Chad and Tonna Gossard; four great grandchildren Vanessa Stewart, Maya Pletcher, Carter Compton and Abigail Wells; two sisters Shirley Settlemire of Findlay; Norma Jean Duncan of Cincinnati; and two brothers Harley (Patricia) Duncan of Van Wert; and Earl Duncan of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by a son Paul M. Gossard; four brothers John, Herbie, Jim and Charles Duncan and two sisters Verina Barnhart and Doris Duncan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. Jim Badertscher officiating. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
