CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATIONS IN ICON AREA CHURCHES
Note: Churches are invited to submit Christmas-related programs to The Icon at [email protected]
o First United Methodist Church
Christmas Eve Service
Traditional Service of Lessons and Carols, 7 p.m.
Pre-service music starts at approximately 6:35 p.m.
o Emmanuel United Church of Christ
Christmas Eve program is at 6 p.m. There will be a special production by the children and lots of Christmas singing.
o English Lutheran Church
Christmas Eve Services:
Family Candlelight Service, 7 p.m. (note change from 7:30 p.m.) This family oriented worship with Holy Communion also includes an
inter-active telling of the Christmas story.
Festival Candlelight Service, 11 p.m. This service of carols and readings includes Holy Communion, and special music by members of the congregation.
o First Mennonite Church
Christmas eve - 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Offering for the Deacons' Benevolent Fund received
Dec. 26 Christmas: An Unexpected Time: Lifted to newness

o Trinity Lutheran, Jenera
A service by the students of Trinity Lutheran Church and School "The Signs of Christmas" will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m. in the church. Pre-service music by the youth playing guitar and piano is at 12:30 p.m.
Pre-service music on Friday, Dec. 24, is at 6:30 p.m. At 7: p.m., "The Signs of Christmas" (also given on Dec. 23 at 1 p.m.) will be presented.
The Christmas Day celebration service is at 9:30 a.m.
