Richard Wahl was present to update the Council on the lagoons. The lagoon system seems to be working very well. At the present time the Village is experiencing a slightly elevated phosphorus reading in the lagoons. Mr. Wahl stated there are several options to correct this problem. Mr. Wahl requested another batch of the "Buster" product be used in the lagoons to continue its efficiency. It was the consensus of the Council to purchase three containers of "Buster" for $2500.00 each for a total of $7500.00.
The Village Administrator reported on the following:
1) The fence at the new baseball field was damaged in the flood. Mr. Schneck has been in contact with the school's maintenance department as to the cost for repairing said fence. The school is to contact Findlay Fence for an estimate. Discussion was had as to payment for said repairs. It was suggested for the school, the village and possibly the Boosters share in the cost of said repairs.
2) Mr. Schneck received a CRA pre-application from Gary Luginbill, owner of Pandora Grain and Supply for the addition of a shop building. Notification will be sent to the P-G School in regards to this matter. Motion was made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Blank to accept Pandora Grain and Supply's CRA pre-application for a 100% abatement for 15 years with a 25% rebate to the school, if they accept the application, and 25% to the village. Mark Suter, P-G School's technology instructor, and his Technology Club students would be willing to develop this web site. It was the consensus of the Council to proceed with this web site and suggested the village's web site be "pandoraoh.gov".
4) After the flooding on February 28th, village employee, Rick Morrison, presented a plan to Mr. Schneck by forming concrete walls with channels to deter flooding of the of the water plant. By havng these walls in place, would not need as many sand bags.
