Joan Lewis 1946-2011
Joan Rae Lewis, 64, of Bluffton died at 8:58 p.m., June 26, 2011, at Bluffton Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1946 in Bluffton to Richard and Melvena Amstutz Lewis. Her mother survives in Bluffton.
She retired from Riverdale School where she taught physical education and also retired from the Arlington Pharmacy. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Findlay and the Eastern Star.
She graduated from Bluffton High School and Findlay College.
Survivors also include cousins, Tom (Rebecca) Hursey of Bluffton, Jim (Lynn) Hursey of Manistique, Mich., Laura From of Bluffton, Lisa Hursey of Bluffton and an aunt, Dorothy Hursey of Bluffton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
