60 years ago this spring
The 1951 graduating class of Bluffton High School held its 60th anniversary reunion July 9, 2011, at the town hall. Thirteen of the 25-member class attended, along with seven non-member spouses. When graduated, this class was stated to be the smallest graduating class since 1913.
Following a noon dinner catered by Henry's of Ottawa, with cake and pies made by area class members, attendees indulged in a full afternoon of conversations.
Members coming the furthest were John and Mildred (Tenney) Triplehorn, both '51 grads, from Gallipolis. Sending notes of regret were others from as far as Florida and California.
