FluentPoint newest affiliate of Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs
Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs welcomes Jeff Compton, founder of Ottawa-based FluentPoint, as its new non-resident affiliate. Compton's company improves workplace learning through instructional design, course production and training distribution services, primarily e-learning courses.
FluentPoint also helps businesses enhance their PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials.
Compton started his business in 2005, providing freelance support for presenters including keynote speakers, seminar leaders, and individuals pitching business ideas. His business also began providing customized training for proprietary software applications.
BCE lead mentor Denise Durenberger notes that with his roots in IT and project management, Compton is self-directed, fast, and affordable. FluentPoint clients include Wells Fargo, ManTech International, Six Sigma.us, First Solar, SignPro Imaging and Stolly Insurance.
As FluentPoint's services and client base develop further, Compton is focused on maintaining the same level of excellence while increasing project volume.
He feels that working with a BCE mentor will enable him to expand and grow this business to a higher level.
He notes: "I look forward to working with the BCE to make wise choices and avoid the common pitfalls that plague many small businesses in my situation. I'm excited about taking this next step and making my plans a reality.
"I know that my business is scalable and capable of amazing growth. While I've been successful to this point, right now I need to listen and learn from those who have gone before me and take action on their advice.
"As the owner of a new business, I work hard to meet our client's needs and exceed their expectations regarding any product or service we deliver in order to retain them for ongoing projects."
