Groves Quality Collectibles has new owner - great discounts on merchandise on Saturday

Groves Quality Collectibles, 204 N. Main St., has a new owner.

And, during business hours this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., discounts are listed on many items.

The clearance sale on Saturday offer discounts of up to 50 percent on many of the items in the store.

The business was sold by Bob Wilch, current owner, to Dr. James Gideon. It is the intention of the new owner to close the business after Saturday. The business will reopen in a few weeks after a revamping of the merchandise.

I scream for ice cream!

Tommy Tire Sales, 319 N. Main St., offered Bluffton residents free homemade ice cream today. Four young ice cream lovers pictured here, from left, are Makala Nye, Elijah Nye, Delaney Maple and Faith Maple. According to Jay Lugibihl, who made the ice cream, over 40 gallons were handed out. Tom and Sheena Dotson, owners of Tommy Tire, said, "We want to thank the community for all their support for our business and this is an enjoyable way we can do it."

63 years after graduating from Bluffton High School

Members of the Bluffton High School graduating class of 1951 held its 63rd reunion on July 12 in Bluffton.
