Bluffton chamber offers free social media assistance to members
Do you have social media questions, but are afraid to ask? Professional social media consultants charge anywhere from $50 to $200 per hour for their services. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce offers it free to members this winter.
Through the assistance of Emily Turner, Bluffton University chamber intern, the chamber will provide free one-on-one, or small group social media workshop sessions.
Turner will graduate in May with a double major in Business and Accounting with a minor in Information Technology. These major and minor backgrounds provides her with marketing and technology skills to assist chamber members.
"One specific class I've taken is Introduction to Information Systems. There I learned how the social media interacts with today's business world. I've used Twitter on a daily basis for the past four months and Facebook on a daily basis for the past seven years. This gives me quite a bit of experience with both social networks," she said.
Turner is available to provide free consultation with chamber members in any of these areas. Contact Fred Steiner of the chamber to set up a free consultation session.
Turner is available:
Monday and Wednesdays 9 - 10 a.m. or, Noon - 2 p.m.
Thursdays - Noon - 5 p.m.
The free consultation opportunities come from the two previous social media workshops held by the chamber. For more information or details on joining the chamber to receive this free benefit contact: [email protected].
