Camerata Singers to present 'Home' concert in Yoder Recital Hall
Bluffton University's Camerata Singers, who recently returned from a spring-break tour of Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, will reprise the tour program, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," in a "Home" concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, in Yoder Recital Hall.
The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken for music scholarships.
The select, 22-member choral group performed the program primarily at churches and schools while on tour from March 4-11. The music, much of which connects with Bluffton's 2011-12 civic engagement theme of wellness, includes spirituals, sacred music, hymn arrangements and movements from larger choral works.
Dr. Mark J. Suderman, professor of music and director of choral activities at Bluffton, is the group's conductor.
