Kendra Nickel likes jewelry so much...well, read on

Note: Donald Ring, BGSU senior and Icon intern, is writing stories on small business owners in Bluffton. This is part of that series.
Whether it's charms, necklaces, bracelets, earrings or rings, lia sophia offers a little bit of everything to their clientele.
For Bluffton native Kendra Nickel, who has been working as an independent advisor for the last two years at lia sophia, that's exactly why she was attracted to the company in the first place.
"I get excited about jewelry," Nickel says while explaining how she first became acquainted with lia sophia. "I am one of those people who is always invited to someone else's jewelry party" and during one particular party, Nickel began to converse with the lia sophia advisor, who in the course of that evening, told her the logistics and positive attributes that went along with being an independent advisor for a direct sales company like lia sophia.
Soon after, Nickel began to work with lia sophia by hosting her own parties and the rest, Nickel says with a laugh, "is history."
Nickel says one of the things that lia sophia prides itself on is that their its "can appeal to a variety of people's experiences and what they're drawn to in a piece of jewelry."
lia sophia offers a multitude of styles to their customers including a very popular "vintage" style collection which Nickel says the pieces "look like they have been in the family for decades." Other collections include a modern line what Nickel describes as being "very sharp, angular pieces (with) bright colors," and a classic line, that features pieces with simple, clean lines. lia sophia also carries out two "red carpet" collections, titled, Boudika and Zingara, which it markets to a variety of celebrities through events like NYC fashion week.
lia sophia has a broad price range, with pieces ranging from $14 to several hundred dollars, so there is a little something for everyone, depending upon their budget. Nickel notes that one of the distinctions separating them from other lines is that they are always a special/sale to their customer.
For instance, one of the current specials is if someone purchases three items, they get the most expensive item half off.
Nickel says that there are two other major factors as to why lia sophia stands apart from the multitude of other jewelry lines. First, lia sophia prides itself in the quality of jewelry that it sells, so much so that it offers a lifetime replacement guarantee, ensuring that customers have a peace of mind that they are investing in quality pieces.
Second, Nickel says that lia sophia is a very fashion-forward line as the owners and creative directors live in NYC and as a result, Nickel explains, tend to be more conscious of the up and coming trends and that is evident in their pieces.
If interested in purchasing any lia sophia jewelry, anyone can place an order through Nickel in two ways.
First, there is the option of placing an order directly through her and she can have it directly sent to your house within 8-10 business days.
The other option is that one can "host" a party and when that order is submitted, it only takes three business days with other incentives being that the hostess receives free jewelry, special hostess pricing and half-priced items.
