Allene Luginbuhl, 93, died at 9:47 a.m. Aug. 21, 2012 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Nov. 15, 1918 in Miller City to Claude and Nora (Mullett) Stuber. On July 17, 1941, she married Robert E. Luginbuhl and he died Dec. 18, 1990.
Mrs. Luginbuhl retired from Triplett Corp. Bluffton. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, Findlay, attended Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton, was a founding member of the Progressive Mothers Club and was active with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She was a graduate of Miller City High School and attended Ohio State University. She enjoyed working outside with her flowers.
Survivors include five sons James (Judi) Luginbuhl of Amelia, Paul (Penny) Luginbuhl of Jamestown, Don (Denise) Luginbuhl and Philip (Debbie) Luginbuhl both of Bluffton, Milo (Deb) Luginbuhl of Lima; four daughters Nancy (Thomas) Frick of Pandora, Muriel (Hillel) Furlager of Skokie, Ill., Martha (Charles) Powell of Ottawa, Ruth Ann (Douglas) Beach of Jenera; a brother David (Betty Lou) Stuber of Fremont; two sisters Mary Rausch of Cridersville, Edith (Richard) Lapish of Leigh Acres, Fla.; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Two grandchildren, Lauri Luginbuhl and Kyle Luginbuhl, three brothers Paul, Leon and Dale Stuber and a sister, Grace Rausch, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday Aug. 31st at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Rev. Dick Potter and Rev. Charles Warren officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
