Beaverdam Bunch 4-H Club sells 50/50 tickets

The Beaverdam Bunch 4-H Club reminds Icon viewer that 50-50 tickets are available from any club member.

Persons may purchase them for $1 each or $5 for six tickets. Proceeds helps out the livestock club members whose animals do not sell, so the club can buy them. Also the club is still selling tickets for the Dodge truck for $20 a piece.

Flag corp holds Saturday car wash

The Bluffton High School flag corp will hold a car wash fund-raiser on Saturday. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 10, in front of Springfield Fireworks on State Route 103. Donations are accepted.

Wayne Matter - a Bluffton icon!

Wayne Matter of Bluffton has had several accomplishments in his life. One being that he served the village as mayor from 1966 to 1975. He also served for many years on the Bluffton Housing Corp. Now he's among the citizens who watch Main Street. Here he is, looking out from the Oscar Velasquez mural on the Forever In Stitches building.

Bluffton Golf Club host to Joseph Memorial Outing on July 31

The third annual Bradley W. Joseph Memorial Golf Outing to support the Bradley W. Joseph Memorial Fund is Saturday, July 31, at the Bluffton Golf Club. Tee time is 9 a.m.

Proceeds will support scholarships for pharmacy students to go on United Methodist Medical Missions.
