Five MMH couples celebrate July anniversaries

Five couples who have one or both spouses as residents of the Mennonite Memorial Home will celebrate wedding anniversaries in July. They are:

Ralph and Beverly Steiner, July 6, 1957

Dave and Doris Blattner, July 7, 1955

Gene and Lola Basinger, July 8, 1948

Milton and Jane McDowell, July 9, 1948

Grover and Pauline Geiger, July 27, 1956

Special events planned at MMH in July

Residents of Mennonite Memorial Home have several special events planned for them in July.

July 7 - Martha Grimm, daughter of Vera Grimm, will present a program "Storybook Quilt," at 2:30 p.m.

July 8 - The Lunch Out Group will head to International House of Pancakes (IHOP), Lima, for a lunch.

July 10 - The channel 3 movie is "Mona Lisa Smiles" at 9 a.m.

July 14 - Root Beer floats will be served on floor 2 in the dining room for all residents at 2 p.m.

July 15 - The July residents birthday party is at 2:30 p.m.

County information directory available for seniors

The 2010 Allen County Information directory for older adults and their families is available at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Must of the information is valuable to persons who live outside the county as well.

Information includes details on transportation, taxes, meals, respite care, education, recreation, housing, health services and home repair.

The directories are in large print, and are free to the public.
