Alumnus to deliver leadership lecture
Murli Buluswar, chief science officer for Chartis Insurance in New York City, will return to his alma mater Tuesday, Feb. 5, to deliver Bluffton University’s annual Presidential Leadership Lecture in Founders Hall.
The 11 a.m. presentation, titled “Perspective on the path to clarity,” is free and open to the public.
At Chartis, the 1991 Bluffton graduate is responsible for building and leading a team aimed at helping the company achieve a competitive advantage by infusing science-driven innovation.
Before joining Chartis, Buluswar was a vice president and head of customer experience at Farmers Insurance. His previous experience also includes roles at Progressive Insurance and Capital One.
Buluswar received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bluffton. He went on to earn master’s degrees in economics and statistics, from Auburn University, and in business administration, from the University of Chicago.
