Health department looking for smoke-free housing units
The Creating Healthy Communities project of the Allen County Health Department is looking for smoke-free housing units in Allen County.
If your housing unit has a smoke-free policy in place, please let the health department know. Contact Shelly Miller at 419-228-4457, ext. 151 or email [email protected].
"We want to list you on our website and Facebook page as a smoke-free housing option."
According to Miller, Health Educator, “There is a demand for smoke-free housing. Non-smoking units are easy to fill because most tenants want to live in a non-smoking building. We want to help fill those units by listing the agency on our website and Facebook page as a smoke-free housing unit.”
If you would like assistance in becoming smoke-free, the Health Department has toolkits available on their website at www.allencountyhealthdepartment.org. Free signage is available to those agencies that adopt a smoke-free housing policy.
