Here's the Irish features today at Mustard Seed Cafe
Today's (Monday, March 17) Irish features at Mustard Seed Cafe:
From Chef Rhonda:
Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich...our own house-made rye bread with a house-made original recipe Russian dressing made just today for this sandwich. Every time I make this dressing, I change the recipe just a bit, and never am quite satisfied. Today, tho, it was perfect. A little extra fresh-squeezed lemon juice in the dressing did the trick...
Corned Beef Hash...We cooked corned beef for sixteen hours with seasonings that gave such foundation to the flavor. The hash itself is wonderful, but I would recommend a soft egg on top and a generous dollop of our own dijon creme that we created to compliment this dish...so good with a slice of soda bread.
Guinness Steak Pie...We took hangar steaks and combined them with vegetables, Guinness, seasoning and time. I made dough this morning to create the "pie" for this wonderful combination and the result is simply rich, warm and delicious. Loved it!
Also serving...
