Family satisfaction survey ranks Willow Ridge in elite Ohio group
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) does it again!
Willow Ridge of MHCO was named 13th highest in the State of Ohio according to the results of the 2014 Ohio Department of Aging Resident Nursing Home Family Satisfaction Survey.
Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest Senior Living Village and MMH Independent Living, said that those survey results were released this month.
Willow Ridge, featuring the first Green House Homes in Ohio, scored a 94.6% satisfaction score to achieve its ranking.
The survey included results from 610 nursing home communities, out of 960 nursing communities in Ohio.
The survey measured the satisfaction of family members of each nursing home resident’s perception of:
• the facility's activities,
• administration,
• meals and dining,
• direct care,
• nursing and other factors that affect the family member's life in the facility.
Willow Ridge meets the needs and demands of the elders it serves in an environment created from the ground up to foster the same feeling and experience elders get from living in their own home.
Each Green House Home at Willow Ridge is designed for 10 elders with the comfort of private rooms and bathrooms combined with the family-like atmosphere of open common spaces.
This model gives elders four times more contact with staff than a traditional nursing home setting.
