Rodney Fruchey 1957-2015
Rodney W. Fruchey, 58, died May 13, 2015, in Bluffton after a battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 26, 1957 in Bluffton to the late Robert and Clara (Parthemore) Fruchey. On April 25, 2009, he married Sandra Foster and she survives in Bellefontaine.
Rodney was an independent over-the-road truck driver logging nearly two million miles. He attended Kenton High School.
Survivors also include five sons Jamie (Chastidy) May of New Philadelphia, Jonathen Shields of Bellefontaine, Shane (Shannon) Fruchey of Russells Point, Robert (Beth) Foster of Zanesfield, Kristopher Korns of Bluffton; three daughters Jaclyn (Jon) Evans of Belle Center, Amanda (Brandon) Sharp of Bellefontaine and Nicole Moore of New Philadelphia.
Also surviving are 19 grandchildren: Aliah, Dakota, Robert, William, Walker, Daulton, Danny, Weston, Damian, Shania, Farryn, Allison, Alexis, Stanzi, Shayden, Alexander, Robert, Michael and Evelyn; five brothers Robert Fruchey of North Carolina, Dean (Connie) Fruchey of Sidney, Mark (Kathy) Fruchey of Bluffton, Bill (Cindy) Fruchey of Beaverdam, John Kearns of Kenton; one sister Vanessa Kearns of Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother Kevin Kearns. Private services will be held per his wishes.
