Sunday AM community worship focus on VBS theme
Bluffton Area Ministerial Associations (BAMA) will hold its annual community worship service at 9 a.m., Sunday, July 26, on the Bluffton Presbyterian lawn.
Rev. David Good, pastor of Bluffton Presbyterian, said, "The service will focus on the Vacation Bible School, which has been this week. The Theme is “Bible Blast to the Past,” and will feature songs by the children who participated in VBS."
The service will include music by area musicians Scott Edwards, Jerry Szabo and Dave Sycks, and reflections from the participating churches: English Lutheran, St. Mary’s Catholic, St. John’s UCC, First United Methodist, First Mennonite, Bluffton Presbyterian and Emmanuel UCC.
"We have had a great week at VBS, with attendance of up to 130, high enthusiasm, energy and activity, and great support for our mission participation in Bluffton Community Assistance Program. The offering at the Sunday Service will benefit Bluffton Community Assistance," he said.
Main Street from Vine to Church Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Cherry Street from Main to the alley at Common Grounds will also be closed from 8:30 to noon.
