Ada's 30th harvest and herb fest this weekend
FROM THE ADA ICON - Bluffton celebrates its fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Ada celebrates its harvest and herb festival this Saturday.
The Fest sprawls on Ada's Main Street all the way from First United Methodist Church to Lehr Avenue.
Here’s the schedule of events:
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Booths open on Main Street
• 10 a.m. – Parade on Main Street
At the Cole Motor parking lot:
• Noon – National Anthem – performed by Ada High School marching band
• Crowning of 2015 Ada Harvest and Herb queen
• 12:15 – 1 p.m. – Common Thread, featuring Ada native Kevin Plaugher
• 1:15-2 p.m. – Mike Wright and Jim Boedicker
• 2:15-3 p.m. – The Crew, featuring Ada native Jared Wolf
• 3:15-4 p.m. – Kwik Fire
Other attractions:
• WONB FM radio broadcasting live
• Food and craft booths
• Entertainment
• View the herb garden in the Railroad Park
• Golf cart decorating contest, sponsored by Ada chamber
The contest will have three cash prizes: $50 for first place; $35, second; $25 third
Winners announced at 11:45 a.m.
Parade details:
The parade forms at the Ada school parking lot beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Ada High School band leads the parade.
The parade route is from the school to Grant, Monfort, Main and to College.
