Ellerbrock Spine and Soft Tissue now open on Main Street

RIBBON CUTTING AT 12:15 P.M. FRIDAY - MARCH 11!
Dr. Matthew Ellerbrock, chiropractic physician, opened Ellerbrock Spine and Soft Tissue in Bluffton on Feb. 17.

It is at 120 N. Main St., Suite A, in the former Forever in Stitches storefront. That business is now in the rear of the building and is open to customers from the municipal parking lot.

A Columbus Grove native, Ellerbrock operated Ellerbrock Chiropractic in Grove from 1999 to 2015. He sold his business to Dr. Tyler Vorst in November and has relocated to Bluffton. He and his family have lived in Bluffton since 2005.

Ellerbrock offers two chiropractic services. These are the traditional chiropractic treatment, and soft tissue treatment known as Active Release Technique (ART). He holds post-graduate certification in ART.

“There are only a few providers in the area offering Active Release Technique,” said Ellerbrock. “We find that it offers better resolution to problems and from 80 to 85 percent of our patients come for ART.”

In addition, the Bluffton clinic has a licensed massage therapist on staff. She is Debora Bogart, LMT and certified aromatherapist.

Patients have direct access to appointments for either Ellerbrock or Bogart. The clinic is a preferred provider with most major insurance plans.

“Most of our patents are in the 15 to 55-year-old age range, but we’ve seen persons from infants to their mid-90s," he said.

Ellerbrock says that in just the first three days of being opened the phone continues to ring with persons making appointments. His patient base of Bluffton also includes Arlington, Jenera, Lima and Findlay.

The office staff includes Kathy Scheckelhoff, office manager, Marilyn Ellerbrock, RN and chiropractic assistant, Julie Whitlow, chiropractic assistant, and Deb Bogart, massage therapist.

The office has two treatment rooms, one massage room, in addition to the front office and lobby.

Ellerbrock graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1992, from Miami (Ohio) in 1996 and from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1999.

He and his wife, Crystal, are parents of Isabella, second grader, Maggie 4 ½, and Thomas 2 ½. A son, William, died of SIDS in 2009.

Massage appointments may be made by calling the office. Bogart is a 2007 graduate of the Institute of Massage Therapy, Lima. She offers relaxation and medical massage in addition to spa work. Her appointments can range from 15 minutes to 2 hours.

Ellerbrock will be introduced to Bluffton chamber members at the Friday, March 11, chamber breakfast. A ribbon cutting for the business will take place at noon on the 11th.
