Gain Awareness. Support Your Community. Sponsor the Library's Summer Program.
Thanks for your interest in Bluffton Public Library's 2016 Summer Programming and Reading Challenge!
Every summer, our library’s goal is to encourage people of all ages to read and continue learning throughout every stage of their lives. Our theme this summer has an emphasis on supporting a healthy body, mind and spirit, and we’ve titled this theme: “Our Library, Our Community: Healthy Together.”
During the months of June and July, we are planning to offer small incentives as goals are reached as well as having drawings at the end of the program for three grand prize packages (for each age level) to participants for their summer reading efforts. This is where you can help. We would like to offer rewards that are in line with the summer theme, ie. fitness, staying active, being adventurous, and health and wellness. Can you help us to offer items that might fall within the parameters of these themes and age ranges?
Our library has been working with state funding cuts that exceed 20 percent since 2009, a ten-year levy that was recently renewed, and state law that substantially limits the ability to generate usable revenue from permanent endowment gifts. This means that we rely on donations to help promote and hold our programs and events.

Your support will be invaluable and create additional awareness and interest in your business.
Our library receives an average of over 7,000 visitors each month so your support will be well recognized. In 2015, we had 67 adults, 56 teens, and 165 children who registered for the reading portion of the program. When you donate to BPL’s Summer Programming you are not only marketing your business or organization, you are also enriching a significant percentage of the Bluffton area community. Donors are encouraged to send up to 30 brochures/cards along with their donation for display and the donors will be recognized in the library, in event publicity and on our website for the duration of the summer programming. Our press information is included in Findlay, Lima, and surrounding area news coverage as well. In addition, if you are able to donate items or funding to the library for use as part of the 2016 Summer Programming and Reading Challenge prize packages, your gift will be tax deductible as defined by state law. We will gladly send a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a donation, and look forward to including you in our 2016 list of supporters.
On behalf of the library and the community, we thank you in advance for being a proud supporter of literacy and lifelong learning!
