Girls' soccer: Pirates season ends in district action
The Bluffton Lady Pirates girls' soccer team played their last game of 2016 last Wednesday night against the Riverdale Falcons at Findlay High School in the District III semifinal match.
Riverdale took the lead in the first half with two goals, making it 2-0 at the start.
Bluffton kept them from scoring again and at 14 minutes to go, a foul in the box gave Bluffton a penalty kick. Senior Sarah Theisen landed it beautifully making the score 2-1. But Riverdale came back strong scoring two more for a final score of 4-1.
