Mary Kathryn Niswander was a graduate of Pandora High School
Mary Kathryn Niswander, 98, died Jan. 30, 2017, at Willow Ridge - Frieda House in Bluffton. Mary was born June 15, 1918, in Pandora to the late Tony and Zella (Steele) Frantz. On Dec. 24, 1938, she married Stanley Niswander and he preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2003.
Mary graduated from Pandora High School. She retired from Sears-Roebuck in Lima where she had been a division manager. Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bluffton and past member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lima.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Paul S. (Analee) Niswander of Columbus; two daughters, Jeannine (Tom) Ashton of Evergreen, Colorado, Beth (Alan) Davis of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Kate (Carl) Foulke, Ben Niswander, Peter Niswander, John Niswander, Elizabeth Niswander, Tyler Ashton, Kelsey (Dan Wallace) Ashton, Eric Davis, Lily Davis; and a great-granddaughter, Maria Foulke.
Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Frantz.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at First United Methodist Church, Bluffton. Pastor Tim Wilmetti and William Herr officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be Saturday from 1.m. until time of the services at the church.
Memorials may go to Bluffton Senior Citizens or First United Methodist Church
