Blanchard River clean-up seeks volunteers
The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is sponsoring a river clean-up in Ottawa on Saturday, May 20.
Volunteers interested in helping remove trash and debris from the river are invited to meet at Arrow Head Park, 615 West Main St., Ottawa, at 9 a.m. The event ends at noon.
Buckets, trash containers and drinking water will be provided. Volunteers are asked to bring their own personal protective gear for working along the riverbank. Additional information can be found at www.blanchardriver.org.
The BRWP represents the six counties of the Blanchard River Watershed and is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving water quality through developing citizen involvement and watershed action plans.
Volunteers are welcome to join activities at any time. Learn more about the Blanchard River on the BRWP website at www.BlanchardRiver.org.
