Lion and Lamb to host women’s tea
Area women are invited to a Tea Party from 9:30-11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, at The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center located on the campus of Bluffton University.
The tea will provide an informal setting for friendship and interaction between women from other countries now living in Bluffton and local women. Tea and coffee will be provided, and guests are invited to bring a dish to share.
“This is a come-and-go opportunity open to all women who are interested in other cultures and making new friends,” said Louise Matthews, director of The Lion and Lamb. She adds, "As stated on the yard signs seen around Bluffton, 'No matter where you are from, we're glad you are our neighbor.'"
The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center promotes the study of peace and justice, cultural understanding and nonviolent responses to conflict with an emphasis on these themes for children.
The center is located in the lower level of Riley Court on Spring Street in Bluffton. Visit the website at www.bluffton.edu/lionlamb.
