Three BHS seniors are SHANNON scholars
S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club of Bluffton announces the winners of its “Service To Humanity” scholarship awards.
Award winners are Bluffton High School seniors Andie Schmutz, Jayme Siefer and Douglas Nester. Each student received an $800 scholarship.
Andie Schmutz is the daughter of Joan Casey and Todd Schmutz. She plans to attend Rhodes State College, studying medicine to hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
Jayme Siefer is the daughter of Carol Siefer and plans to attend the University of Toledo.
Douglas Nester is the son of Darryl and Lori Nester and plans to attend Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va., majoring in engineering.
The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of Neighbors) is a local volunteer organization that strives to make the Bluffton area a better place by serving its youth, its elderly, and its needy.
