It's August - school offices are open
Bluffton school offices opened on Aug. 1 and that means the 2017-18 school year will soon be upon us.
Each building office is now open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday until school starts on Aug. 28.

Here are some of the calendar items and back-to-school reminders for August.
• Friday, Aug. 18 – Allen County Fair band show
• Friday, Aug. 18 and Monday, Aug. 21 - Middle School/High School registration for 2017-2018 school year
• Thursday, Aug. 24 - 6th grade orientation, 6 – 7 p.m., Middle School Cafetorium
• Monday, Aug. 28 – first day of school
• Wednesday, Aug. 30 – Allen County Teen Immunization Clinic - 2 - 5 p.m. For pre-teens and teens entering grades 7 through 12 only. All required school vaccines will be offered as well as recommended vaccines. Call Allen County Public Health at 419-228-4457 to schedule an appointment.

Senior vaccination: All seniors are required to receive a meningococcal vaccine prior to the start of the school year. There is a 2-dose requirement if the first dose was given before the age of 16. Drop off proof of the vaccination to the high school office prior to the start of the school year.
