Experience fall migration Sept. 2 at “Birding on the Blanchard"
The beginning of September is peak waterfowl and hawk migration in Ohio and the Blanchard River attracts a wide variety of these birds. Experience the fall bird migration by canoe at Hancock Park District’s “Birding on the Blanchard.”
Bring your binoculars to Zonta Landing at Riverside Park Waterfront and grab the best seat in the house to see these fabulous flyers. An experienced birder/program specialist will be guiding the group from 8:30 to 10 a.m..
Canoes, paddles, and personal flotation devices will be provided. No birding experience is needed, but participants are required to be ages 12 and must be able to maneuver and control a canoe.
Register with $10 per person online at www.HancockParks.com under “Programs & Activities”, or in person at the HPD Administrative Office at 1424 East Main Cross Street, by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, with a signed Assumption of Risk/Liability Release/Waiver of all Claims form and/or a Parental Consent form if applicable.
Riverside Park Waterfront is located at 231 McManness Avenue, north of East Main Cross Street, Findlay.
