Life Flight assists Hardin Sheriff in search for Hardin Northern student
Life Flight of Bluffton was used earlier today in a Hardin County Sheriff's Office search for a Hardin Northern school student.
According to the sheriff's office, that office was contacted by the Hardin Northern Schools regarding a child who ran away from the school building.The child ran into a large cornfield north of the school property.
An initial search of the immediate area was conducted and the child was not able to be located.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Life Flight, Dunkirk Fire Department, Hardin County Dog Warden, and residents of the Dunkirk area.
The child was found approximately one hour and 45 minutes later. The child was located in a field north and east of the school property. He was returned to the care and custody of his parents.
