Soup luncheon and fall festival hosted by Mt. Cory churches
Pleasant View United Methodist Church and Mt. Cory United Methodist Church host two events this month.
Pleasant View United Methodist Church will host a soup luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit 10-year-old Owen Weaver of Bluffton. The church is located at 300 Twp. Rd. 37, Bluffton.
Mt. Cory United Methodist Church will host its annual fall festival and chicken barbecue Saturday, Oct. 21, from 4-11 p.m. at Bethel Family Life Center, 201 W. Washington St., Mt. Cory.
There will be games, clowns and Romick's Train for kids. The barbecue includes one-half chicken, au gratin potatoes, applesauce, roll and cookies. Whole and slices of pie will be available to purchase.
Tickets are $8 and can be purchased by calling Kim at 419-957-4535 or the church office at 419-859-3779.
