Bluffton native Micah Sommersmith performs March 22

Bluffton native Micah Sommersmith is the next performing on the Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series, according to Jeff Yoder.

The performance is at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 22, in the third floor of the town hall. It is free and open to the public.

Born and raised in Bluffton, Micah Sommersmith has slowly made his way across the midwest, currently living in Wisconsin after stops in Indiana and Illinois.

Along the way, he has developed a unique songwriting voice, drawing on diverse musical influences from folk to hip hop to classical.

Lyrically, he explores themes such as ecology, spirituality, politics, and relationships with insight and a healthy dose of humor, and he supports his songs with the versatile sounds of the accordion.

Micah also serves as the music director for a United Methodist church in Neenah, Wisconsin, and is a member of newVoices, Northeast Wisconsin’s Vocal Artists.
