Grover Geiger, Jr., was a retired Pandora banker
Grover J. Geiger, Jr., 89 died July 25, 2018, at the Frieda House at Willow Ridge in Bluffton. Grover was born May 26, 1929, in Pandora to the late Grover and Corinna (Suter) Geiger. On July 27, 1956, he married Pauline Thomas Geiger who preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 2011.
After graduating from Pandora High School, Grover entered the Army Air Force and after being honorable discharged he moved back to Pandora. He worked at the Pandora First National Bank his entire career and also owned and operated Geiger Transportation Trucking Co., Archbold, Ohio, for many years. Grover was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora.
Survivors include a sister, Wanita Cornwell of Arlington, Ohio; a brother, Paul (Mary Beth) Geiger of Farmers Branch, Texas, and six nieces and nephews.
Grover was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis Geiger and John David Geiger and a sister, Helen Neiswander.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 30, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Matthew Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Grace Mennonite Church.
