Residential holiday light contest awards “Bluffton Bucks"
Got the best residential holiday lights in Bluffton?
The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce thinks you should be rewarded. The chamber’s annual competition awards a $200 first place prize, $150 second place prize, $75 third place prize, and $75 Mayor’s Prize.
The awards come in “Bluffton Bucks,” checks that can be redeemed at chamber member businesses. Members are listed at www.explorebluffton.com/members.
To participate, your home must be located within the village limits and decorated before Wednesday, Dec. 5, when a team of judges will view all entries. Be sure to have your address number well lighted, too.
Entries will be taken until Dec. To enter, email the chamber at [email protected] with your name and address or drop off the information at town hall, 154 N. Main St.
Last year, 19 homes were entered in the competition. Contest coordinator Bob Inniger, chamber board member from Citizens National Bank, notes that the prize winners reflected the variety of decorations within the village, including technical marvels, cutouts inspired by the Ream display, and old-fashioned charm.
A map of residential lighting locations will be posted at ExploreBluffton.com and on the chamber’s Facebook page. Print copies will be available at the Ream folk art display at Main St. and Cherry; and at the Marathon gas station at Main and College.
