Here’s Bluffton University’s April arts and events calendar

Here is a list of the arts and event scheduled in April at Bluffton University. Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

April 1 Art Exhibit: “52nd annual Juried Student Exhibit,” Sauder Visual Arts Center, Grace Albrecht Gallery, 9 a.m. -5 p.m. weekdays, 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through May 5.

April 2 Forum: “Using Ancient Wisdom to Stop Destructive Communication in its Tracks: Reining in Gottman’s Horsemen,” Forum by Marathana Prothro, assistant professor of communication, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 3 Speech Contest: C. Henry Smith Peace Oratory Oratorical Contest, 6 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 6 Concert: Jazz Ensemble and Gospel Choir Concert, 6 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 9 Forum: “What Matters Most,” Spiritual Life Week Forum by Matthew Vohwinkle, director of student ministries, Harbour Shores Church, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 9 Forum: “Crisis Communication in Higher Education: A Rhetorical Analysis of Larry Nassar and Michigan State,” First Tuesday Forum by Jena O’Brien, senior public relations major, 11 a.m., Musselman Library Reading Room.

April 11 Recital: Pearl Bogart Mann Piano Recital by Sun Min Lee, 7:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall. Tickets are $10 adults; $8 seniors and children and can be purchased through tickets.bluffton.edu

April 12 Colloquium: “Mini Quad Drones – Thrills of Mountain Surfing and Racing,” Colloquium by Andreas Baumgartner, associate professor of art, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall, Centennial Hall.

April 16 Forum: Athletic Awards Forum, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 23 Forum: Academic Awards Forum, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall.

April 28 Concert: Spring Fling Concert, 2:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall.
