Boys' soccer: Four goals in the first eight minutes

ELIDA - The Bluffton boys soccer team scored four goals in the first eight minutes and rolled to a 10-0 blowout win over Evergreen Thursday evening in the semifinals of the Kickoff Tournament at Elida.
The Pirates improved to 2-0 with their second straight shutout win. They play an opponent TBA in the Kickoff tourney finals Saturday.
Jude Spallinger scored in the fifth and seventh minutes to jump start the Pirate offense. Sam Derstine netted the secodn score in the sixth minute, and Jonathan Schriner tallied another goal at the eight-minute mark for an early 4-0 lead.
Derstine scored again in the 35th minute and Drew Heldman found the back of the net two minutes later to make it 6-0 at intermission.
Jayden Mays (48'), Matt Daws (51'), Andrew Lovett (61') ad Brandon Good (67') closed out the scoring with four second half goals.
Bluffton put 20 of its 31 shots on goal. Evergreen mustered just three shots overall, with two on goal.
