50 years of Bluffton Senior Citizens
A 50-year review of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center is the program of the noon, Monday, Feb. 10, senior center monthly potluck.
Tonya Meyer, director of the center, will provide the program. In addition, Ceacle Shields, who celebrates her 90th birthday in February, will receive a life membership.
The center offers a wide range of activities throughout the week for senior citizens, whether you wish to play euchre or dominoes, or help sew a quilt or make a rag rug. See the newsletter (attached below) to see the weekly schedule.
Special events for this month include a special craft workshop making valentine cards for local shut-ins will be on Wednesday, February 5, at 1 p.m., led by Deb Beer, craft director.
For all those pining for summer garage sales, the center’s annual garage sale is set for Feb. 27 through March 2. The sale hours will be:
- Thursday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 28, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 29, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Monday, March 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (half-price day)
Please note, if Bluffton schools close, then all activities at the center for that day are cancelled.
