Apollo Career Center hosts school board members
Apollo Career Center will kick off Career Tech Education Month with the annual all area boards meeting held Thursday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. in the Apollo Commons. Apollo Superintendent Keith Horner will be providing opening remarks beginning at 6:45 p.m..
Bob Wrasman, a 1979 graduate of Apollo’s Auto Body Repair and Allen East, and Paul Conner, a 1996 graduate of Apollo’s Welding and Fabrication and Allen East, will be inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame. Gina Place, Wapakoneta, will be recognized as the Charles M. Hankish, Jr. Student Citizen of the Year.
Board members from Apollo's 11 member schools and three County Educational Service Centers will be present, in addition to special guests.
The Charles M. Hankish, Jr. Student Citizen of the Year award benefits an Apollo junior or senior student in their pursuit of educational and career goals. It was established to honor long-time board of education member and career-tech advocate Charles M. Hankish, Jr., Bluffton.
He was a long-time Apollo board member representing Bluffton schools.
