March is coming in busy at the Bluffton Public Library. Here's programming announced for the month.
Origami Live!: Mai Hirashita, Japanese Outreach Initiative (JOI) Coordinator for BGSU, will lead us in another live teaching session of origami on March 2 at 6:30 p.m. This program is open to all ages and will take place via Zoom. Receive an origami paper Take & Make kit through Curbside Pickup starting Feb. 22 and don’t forget to email [email protected] to register and receive the Zoom link!
Noon Book Group via Zoom meets March 3 to discuss A Woman is no Man by Etaf Rum. The April discussion title is Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. Call the library or email [email protected] for more information and to register. Starting April 7, patrons may check out a Book Group Book Bundle containing the May through July discussion titles.
Mobile Health Clinic: Friday, March 5 and 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m - All services are provided by individuals with the Ohio Northern University Healthwise program. This clinic includes free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol (fast for 12 hours to participate in cholesterol or blood sugar screening). Participants may speak with ONU Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns, and even receive referrals to area doctors.
Virtual Family Trivia Night: Grab the family and put your brains together! On Tues., March 23 at 6 p.m., Ms. Lauren will host another Family Trivia Night using Kahoot and Zoom (two mobile devices and/or laptops/computers are required for gameplay.) Family groups may consist of six members or less, and questions are all family friendly. Register by emailing [email protected] by March 20 and receive instructions by email. The winning family will be announced on social media (hello, bragging rights!).
Let's Try Macrame Take & Make: Materials and instructions for a wee plant hanger will be available for pickup at the library starting March 1 and while supplies last. Each kit consists of one jar, yarn, and instructions. Call or visit the library's website to request. Open to adults and teens.
Stress Free Sticker-by-Number Take & Make: Pages and stickers from “Brain Games Stress Free Sticker-by-Number” will be available for pickup at the library starting March 1 and while supplies last. Each kit consists of one art page and correlating stickers from the book to match, similar to paint-by-numbers. Call or visit the library's website to request. Open to adults and teens.

The health and safety of our patrons and staff at the Bluffton Public Library is a top priority. At the time of this press release, the library is open for Curbside Pickup only. The library will review services and update as needed so be sure to check blufftonpubliclibrary.org/covid19 for current services updates.
Curbside Pickup hours are:
Mondays -Thursdays: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Fridays: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 10 a.m-1 p.m.
Patrons may schedule a pickup at blufftonpubliclibrary.org/pickup or by calling the library at 419-358-5016 during Curbside hours.

The library’s digital services continue to be available 24/7, including the Ohio Digital Library, the library’s Beanstack challenges, videos of digital programs and storytimes, digital book displays and reading lists, research databases, the online catalog, educational resources, local information, and more.
Events and Programs
The library continues The Book Bag - A Library Subscription Service. The program allows community members to request a monthly themed or specially curated bag of items from the library collection along with an activity. The Book Bag checks out for four weeks, with new bags being automatically prepared for pickup the next month. If you haven't registered yet, no problem. We still have some space!
