Bluffton netmen nipped by Kenton

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton boys tennis team dropped a 3-2 battle to Kenton Monday evening.
Bluffton fell to 2-4 with the defeat, while Kenton improved to 4-6 with the narrow win.
Pirate sophomore Luke Shadle won 7-5, 6-3 at second singles over Wildcat senior Rylee Messinger.
Bluffton senior Grant Klingler triumphed 7-5, 6-4 at third singles over Kenton junior Noah Ketcham to provide the other Pirate victory.
The Pirate tandem of senior Thad Mittendorf and junior Bryan Zimmerman lost a tough three-setter at first doubles 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
Bluffton senior Eden Nygaard won the opening set 7-6 at first singles, but ultimately lost 6-0, 6-1.
The Pirate duo of senior Conner Lee and sophomore Braeden Ackerman fell in straight sets at second doubles.
Bluffton is scheduled to host Archbold Friday, April 23.
