Betty Carol Glick was 1960 BHS graduate
Betty Carol Glick, 78, of rural Jenera, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on July 30, 2021, in her home of Parkinson's Disease.
Betty was born in Bluffton, Ohio on December 5, 1942 to Eldon P. and Ada H. (Hilty) Lugibihl. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1960 and the Northwestern School of Commerce in Lima in 1961. She married Jerome C. Glick at Grace Mennonite Church, in Pandora, on November 28, 1965.
Betty was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. In addition to being a stay-at-home mom, her 30-year working career included: Davison, Soliday and Sullivan Insurance Agency in Lima, Marathon Oil in Findlay, Arlington Local Schools, and Ohio Northern University in Ada, where she retired in December 2012. She was also involved with several Bible studies, including Reaching Woman in Bluffton, where she served as committee chairperson for several years. She was a wordsmith, who loved reading and owning books. Above all, she loved our Lord Jesus Christ, her husband and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome; son John G. (Heidi); grandchildren Aaron S. and Jacklyn E., brother Kenneth P. (Marcia) Lugibihl; and brothers-in-law, E. Keith Brauen and Gerald W. Glick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Esther L. Brauen and sister-in-law, Nancy K.Glick.
Her family would like to publicly thank Betty's caregivers, Lisa Weyant and the folks at Bridge Hospice for their excellent, kind work and patience in caring for Betty.
