Bluffton boys soccer blank Big Green

The visiting Bluffton boys soccer team shut out Ottoville 4-0 in a one-sided non-league match Tuesday night, September 7.

Bluffton improved to 4-1-1 with the victory. Ottoville fell to 4-1-1 after the shutout loss.

Jude Spallinger netted three goals and passed out an assist to pace the victors.

Spallinger scored the first goal at the 22:45 mark to put the Pirates ahead. Just 34 seconds later, he scored again on a pass from Kaden Basil.

Nolan Hoffman extended the lead to 3-0 with a goal off a Spallinger feed with 20:57 remaining to play.

Spallinger added the final goal unassisted at the 63:17 juncture.

Bluffton put seven of its 16 shots on goal. Ottoville got off six shots.

Pirate keeper Kyle Basil was credited with five saves in goal.

The Pirates play at Beavercreek Thursday, September 9 at 7:15 p.m. They then visit Van Buren (2-1) Sept. 14.
